BACK TO BASIC

Last week, I spent literally the whole week in Surabaya for a certification. I'm working in Procurement field and in a desperate need of a deeper knowledge about it. So when I heard about this Procurement certification held by one of the Government Institution, I directly proposed to my company to get on board. Long story short, my company approved and I took off to Surabaya, where the certification took place, on Sunday night last week.

I arrived at this 5 star Hotel called Bumi Surabaya/Hyatt. and shockingly got myself a super nice deluxe room with king size bed, spacious bathroom and a wall size window with the greatest view ever. I mean.. I never thought the accommodation provided by the certification vendor would be that luxurious. But it was actually meant to be that way. They provided us with all the luxury cause they know we'll be tortured for the whole week. So we can pampered ourselves after the whole day of learning.

It was a grueling week to be honest. I felt like a college student all over again. Even my final exam week back in college wasn't that crazy. Anyway, I still managed to snap some pictures in my hotel room. Eheh.

This picture failed to represent the view that I got to enjoy everyday.
I would sit on the floor staring outside my window every evening.

IT'S ANOTHER ONE

The journey continues....

My journey in searching and inspecting all those good restaurants that is.

And again, I found another promising spot!

This one is located in Bandung. The name is ORIGIN. Interior wise, it's perfect. It resembles a greenhouse garden with many plantations and flowers and a lot of natural lighting from the sunlight that coming in. I went there on a day light but I bet Origin is also good for star spotting at night.  It's the first restaurant in Bandung with a healthy and organic food concept. Food wise, unfortunately I just dropped by for a dessert so I didn't order much.Just a salmon spaghetti which was great, nothing special though. But I can assure you that their apple crumble was dope! The best I ever had actually. Oh and I also tasted their Red Velvet, but I'm not a fan. It tastes mediocre.

Overall, I had a fun time here and will definitely go back soon!
One slight note, the temperature of this place really depends on the outside weather, so if it's super hot outside, you might want to wear a light and thin fabric.

FRENCH ANTIQUES !

Lately, I've been busy redecorating my room. I'm thrilled that I finally got the drive to do it. It's not a new plan, I've been planning to do it for such a long time but just too lazy to go search on the kind of furniture that I really like. My ultimate room style is shabby chic. I'm kind of obsessed with it, I could spent hours collecting shabby chic images from the internet.

So here I am now feeling more driven than ever, trying to find the best furniture shop, the one with good quality products and a pretty good deal. It's hard though. I've been looking everywhere but mostly, those shops that sell shabby chic or vintage french furniture are based in Jepara, Central Java. Which means I have to go there to see the real products. And I'm pretty picky. I need to see the real thang first before decided to purchase the item.

And then just a week ago, I stumbled upon this furniture shop in Kemang. It called TAMARA DANIELLE AUCTIONS. I was blown away by their collections. The store is actually very small and they just kind of stacked up their furniture collections just like that. But I don't care since every item is very beautiful to look at. I don't know what make me love french furniture so much, maybe it's the rusty finishing, or the carving, I don't know I just love them to the bones.

So yea! I just want to share a couple of their furniture collections. I'm still confuse which ones I will buy. If you're a fan of this kind of furniture, make sure to go check on what they got in store. It's in Jalan Pangeran Antasari #36.

Oh one more thing, they will give you a very reasonable price for all of those pretty vintage pieces! LOVE!

Aren't they all AMAZING?

SALA

This pretty vintage restaurant is my new favorite spot for lunch. It's just right around the corner from my office, it has the most eye pleasing interior and exterior compare to the other restaurants I've ever been in and it's not very occupied during lunch hour. The interior is not only eye pleasing, but for me personally, SALA's interior is the closest to what I have pictured in my mind of what my future house would be like. Vintage and antique.

I went there yesterday with my boyfriend, ordered the usual oven roasted chicken and churros for dessert. Sadly, very sadly, none of the item that I ordered satisfy my taste bud. They actually kind of let me down. Because the place is way too amazing to have bad foods. But hopefully it was just a case of a bad luck, who knows the rest of the items on the menu are actually taste delicious.

Definitely coming back to SALA soon.
