ENTRE NOUS

Posting about outfits makes me want to share about my online vintage store that has been closed for a while now. I've been thinking to re-open it but haven't got the chance, the time and the willpower to do so. Here are the vintage pieces that used to be my favorite items and gave me a hard time to let go. On this one (I have two stores, both are temporarily closed) I collaborated with my best friend.

My favorite parts were the editing process and the makings of the cover. It was like making an artwork to me.

These items were sold out within 4 days after they launched. This was the very first season and as you can see the theme was floral vintage. My personal favorites are number 18, 2, 8 and 10. Hope you guys are hanging comfortably in someone's closet out there, good luck :*

BLACK BOOTS / BLACK JEANS

Playing dress up never fails to entertain me. Sorry for the bad quality pictures. I actually did it on purpose, I've been using my Mac to take pictures ever since I bought it 2 years ago. I just love how it looked all vintage and blurry, and how I could edit it to get more vintage feel. I know I should start using real camera, for the sake of this blog.

SECOND TIME AROUND

Last March my band got a chance to perform in Java Jazz Festival. Well, it was actually our second time performing for the festival. I never really thought that I would eventually being on one of Java Jazz big stages singing with my band, playing our music. But yes we finally did, in 2010 and 2011. It's hard to believe since I've been a loyal crew for the event ever since I was 17!

The rest of my band mates also happened to be the crew for years. We didn't know that fact until we finally formed as band. Talk about fate.

MUSICALITY

It is hard to kind of explain my taste of music in brief. I love so many genres and I don't like to put music in a box. No matter what the genre is, I'd love it as long as it sounds good to me. These music videos represent my random taste of music. It's something that I always wanted to do actually, cause I'm always confuse when someone ask me what type of music that I like, since I don't have one specific genre as a preference. I just have too many favorite songs that are very different from one another. So the next time people want to know my kind of music, I'm just going to refer this blog post to them.

Jazztronik is simply a genius. How could people produce something like this really? The music is just so rich. Damn you Japanese.
Another tune from Jazztronik that blew my mind far far away.

Mondo Grosso. WHOA. I don't know where to start. EPIC. The artwork of the video is a champ.

Jazzanova

Reel People

Rasmus Faber

Pharrell is my first love. And this song is one of my all time favorites.

Miguel Migs

Yeasayer, Sunrise. My anthem during my second semester. Never fails to boost up my mood.

Clazziquai

GILI AND LOMBOK DIARY

I went there around August last year. Simply the best vacation I've ever had in years. Just me and my best friend traveling the three Gilis. Gili Meno, my favorite, is that perfect spot for a relaxing vacation. While the infamous Gili Trawangan is the right place if you want to have the craziest party week. Gili Air is very very calm and soothing, there was barely no sounds at night except for the thundering waves.

Tanjung Aan, Lombok. This place is breath taking.

One of the best night. Just chilling by the beach accompanied by native children. Ah how I miss you kids.

This is Gili Air. You see how peaceful it is. Among the three Gilis, Gili Air is the most undeveloped one. Perfect for a honeymoon.

By the way, most of the Gili photos were taken by my best friend. While I was being an asshole wanted to be in every single frame. Shame on me.

Me, and my best friend. Embodied the Sasak tribe. I truly miss my these places and I truly truly miss this girl for sure :*

SALMON DELISH

Salmon color is to die for. When I found this thrifted salmon blazer, I was like 'Okay, now let me have a moment of silence here' I was overjoyed.

Blazer, thrifted.
Boots, courtesy of my mom.
Dress, H&M.

These pictures taken long ago. Me and my best friend got bored, had nothing to do then just walked around the neighborhood snapped some pictures. Nothing serious really.

Gah. There's something really wrong with my face here. My eyes squinted abnormally. The morning sunlight almost blinded me that day. My face is bloated. But I got to post it cause it such a beautiful picture. So please don't mind my face everyone.

APRIL O APRIL

April has been a crazy month for me. It's a grueling battle between me and well, me. I had to make the hardest decision for my future without any help from others, though I've asked for help and advice but in the end it was just me, myself and I.  I was stuck between two possibilities, two opportunities regarding my future career (yes, it's actually about my job). Should I brag about every single detail here? Oh yes I should.

September last year, I was officially graduated. My dream job has always been an employee in an oil and gas company. I don't know why but working in oil industry always seems so god damn cool to me. What is so cool about it? Well, the big salary is. Money talks super loud these days :p. However, an opportunity to work in such company is so hard to get, it's just hard for a fresh grad to be hired. So I decided to lower my expectation. I started to apply to many other places too beside the oil companies. To cut the story short, I was accepted in a bank, the process was so fast that I had to decide whether to accept or not within a couple of days. It was a management trainee position. A very good deal. It's a fast track career path. The agreement was: I got to learn everything about banking industry from A-Z within 8-month period of in-class training, then I will be placed in a strategic position for two years.

To cut the story even shorter, on the 4th month of my training, I got an offer from an oil company where I used to work as an undergraduate intern. The HR called me and offered me a 6-month contract. Though it's still tentative whether they will hire me permanently or not after the sixth month, I was startled. It's like god has answered all my prayers. But you see the dilemma here, If I choose to stay in the bank, I can be a successful banker in the next 5 years, and after 4 years my salary will be equal with the salary offered by the oil company. I don't need to worry about the continuance of my career since it is set to be long-term. If i choose to pursue my dream job in oil company, I will get twice amount of my monthly income in the bank. But then my fate in the next six month will be very uncertain.

So that's the deal basically. I've picked the second option as you can see in my profile. But up until today, I'm still scared about the outcome of my decision. I hope I'm doing the right thing. Let's just see what's going to happen on October. *fingerscrossed

AN AMATEUR ARTIST

Okay, so it's not fair to claim myself an amateur artist without displaying my artworks. So here are some of them. People around me are mainly become my inspirations. I'm using wacom as my drawing tool and of course the infamous photoshop for the coloring and other effects.

This is my best friend. She's a dancer and she dances flawlessly. This one is a portray of her while doing Balinese dance. I fell for the color of  Balinese dancing costume, it's just so alive and colorful, oh how I love Indonesian heritage.

This one is actually me. Ew. I know right? But al little bit of narcism doesn't kill. Teehee.

I used to run an online shop that sell vintage clothing. I usually made up a new artwork on my shop for each season. This is one of my designs that incorporate my desire for vintage attributes. However, it's closed now since I had no time to handle it.

I like to try to see it in different color palettes.

Still got plenty of them but I don't want to spoil everything at once. I'll post my work bit by bit :D

PROLOGUE

I'm that kind of person who never thought that sharing stories or thoughts through blog is interesting. It's like sharing your life with people that you barely even know. Well, let alone the blog, I even find it hard to share about things that happened in my life with people around me. Yes. I'm that good listener. So good that I always ended up keeping my stories locked and sealed for myself.

So why am I contradicting myself by making this blog?
Well, as much as I like to hear people's stories and not to share mine, I do think that it's not a good thing to keep everything about myself hidden. I'm not alone in this world and sharing with others is very important. That's why I want to 'cure' my self. I want to be able to share too. And I'll take it to the extreme way. I made my self a blog. To share about random things with everyone. To whoever out there that happens to read my blog. Accidentally or not.

I'm just going to make this as light and simple as it could be. And this blog will portray my interests in so many pretty little things. So for you, you and you, warm greetings from me, welcome to my blog and enjoy ;)
